Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in San Antonio invites applications for a seasonal bartender role. You will produce and serve bar drinks, check IDs, and upsell premium products to create a memorable guest experience.

Ideal candidates have bartender experience, excellent communication and cash handling skills, and knowledge of beverage safety. Prior SeaWorld experience and a high-volume venue background are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of state beverage safety requirements.
• Previous bartender experience required – two years preferred.
• Expertise with popular recipes (margaritas, cosmopolitans, mojitos).
• Theme park experience serving international guests desirable.
• Background in high-volume bar/restaurant a plus.
• Outstanding communication, customer service and cash handling skills.
• Food & Beverage Safety certifications.
• Basic knowledge of beer, liquor and wine.

Responsibilities

• Produce and serve bar drinks following recipe and presentation standards.
• Check IDs to ensure appropriate drinking age.
• Upsell premium products when appropriate.
• Get to know guest preferences.
• Monitor guest consumption following guidelines.
• Answer guest questions.
• Operate cash register.
• Keep areas clean and sanitary.
• Earn guaranteed rate if not met with tips.
