Job summary

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge is seeking a dedicated individual to perform husbandry duties, manage the Ambassador Animal collection, and schedule engaging interpretive programs for park visitors. The role includes hands-on animal care, program development, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Park Manager, the candidate will create diverse educational workshops and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience with animal husbandry and care for birds and reptiles.
• Ability to schedule and conduct educational programs for diverse audiences.
• Strong record-keeping and safety-focused work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Daily husbandry duties including cleaning, diet prep, feeding, enrichment, and basic veterinary care.
• Maintain animal care records/logs.
• Schedule and conduct interpretive programs and recreational activities.
• Provide educational programs for field trips and outreach.
• Develop ongoing educational programs, workshops, and special events.
• Deliver world-class guest service and ensure visitor satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Assistant Park Manager to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Maintain a safe environment for visitors, guests, and employees.
