Job summary

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge is seeking an Ambassador Animal caretaker responsible for daily husbandry of the park's ambassador collection, including raptors and reptiles. You will schedule and conduct interpretive programs and educational activities for visitors and groups.

The role focuses on high-quality guest experiences, safe animal handling, and collaboration with park management to deliver engaging programs and events for park guests.

Responsibilities

• Daily husbandry duties including cleaning, diet prep, feeding, enrichment, training, handling, and basic veterinary care of the animal collection (including raptors and reptiles)
• Maintaining records in the animal care log
• Scheduling of programs and activities
• Performing educational programs for field trips, outreaches, and informal meet-and-greets
• Creating and implementing a diverse and ongoing series of educational programs, workshops, and special events for the Park
• Provides world class guest service in accordance with established guidelines and standards
• Works closely and professionally with the Assistant Park Manager to ensure visitor and guest satisfaction
• Provides a safe and sanitary environment for visitors, guests, and employees
