Job summary

Stanley 1913 is seeking a Manager of Amazon Operations to lead the day‑to‑day performance and governance of the Amazon business. You will own Vendor Central operations, inventory risk, and chargeback reduction while working with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive reliable execution.

The role requires 5+ years in ecommerce or Amazon operations and 2+ years of people leadership. Onsite in Seattle three days/week or remote in the Denver area, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, customer operations, supply chain, customer experience, or Amazon operations.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Amazon Vendor Central operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional initiatives and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.

Position Overview

The Manager, Amazon Operations leads the operational performance, governance, and execution of the Amazon business. This role partners closely with the Amazon Account Management team and owns Vendor Central operations, inventory risk, compliance, chargeback reduction, and operational readiness.

The role leads a team responsible for day-to-day order management, issue resolution, and Vendor Central administration while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Experience to drive reliable execution and continuous improvement.

This position is onsite 3 days per week at our Seattle office or remote in Denver, CO area only.

What You’ll Do
Amazon Operations & Performance
  • Own Amazon operational performance, KPIs, scorecards, and service levels.
  • Monitor and improve fill rate, order health, compliance, and operational defects.
  • Identify risks, lead root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop reporting and performance reviews to provide visibility into business health and opportunities.
Vendor Central & Operational Governance
  • Lead governance and administration of Amazon Vendor Central processes and workflows.
  • Oversee purchase orders, compliance requirements, chargebacks, and operational performance.
  • Establish operational standards and drive continuous improvement across Amazon processes.
  • Maintain catalog accuracy, including product setup, item status changes, variations, suppressions, and other product updates.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on product transitions and conversion items to ensure internal and Vendor Central catalog accuracy.
  • Facilitate governance and project management for new and existing operational programs.
Inventory & Retail Readiness
  • Monitor inventory availability and fulfillment risks impacting Amazon performance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning to mitigate out-of-stocks and improve service levels.
  • Ensure operational readiness for product launches, promotions, seasonal events, and assortment changes.
  • Coordinate inventory, fulfillment, and operational requirements to support commercial plans.
Compliance & Chargebacks
  • Lead chargeback analysis, root‑cause identification, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to reduce compliance violations, deductions, and operational defects.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to improve packaging, labeling, routing, and fulfillment compliance.
  • Monitor trends and implement preventative measures to reduce future chargebacks.
Escalation & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead resolution of complex operational issues impacting Amazon performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with the Amazon Account Manager to align operational execution with business objectives.
  • Communicate performance, risks, opportunities, and key initiatives to stakeholders and leadership.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop Amazon Operations Specialists.
  • Set priorities, establish performance expectations, and support career development.
  • Ensure effective cross‑training, business continuity, and operational coverage.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
Required
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, customer operations, supply chain, customer experience, or Amazon operations.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Amazon Vendor Central operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional initiatives and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting Amazon 1P retail operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory planning, fulfillment, compliance, and chargeback management.
  • Experience with ERP, EDI, and ecommerce platforms.
  • Experience developing operational reporting, KPIs, and performance scorecards.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range: $100,000 USD - $120,000 USD
