Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Network Development Engineer to lead deployment, maintenance and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks across global locations including manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites and mission operations centers.

You will ensure high availability, performance and security of network infrastructure, mentor junior engineers and drive automation to improve efficiency in support of Amazon Leo's satellite broadband

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments.
• Ensure robust network operations supporting launch and mission activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives.
• Enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection.
• Mentor junior engineers on operational best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability for mission-critical operations.

As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks supporting our manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites, and mission operations centers worldwide. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure across multiple global locations.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
