Job summary

Visiting Angels Greater Philadelphia is seeking caring and dependable caregivers in Philadelphia, especially near Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Emergency Department. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and support clients with personal care while following individualized care plans.

Requirements include at least 2 years of caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a TB test. Vaccination proof may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional caregiving experience.
• CNA, HHA, PCA, or home-care experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and reliable transportation.
• Recent TB test or willingness to complete required testing.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
• Treat clients with kindness and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and spend time with clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Help with walking, transfers, and daily activities.
• Provide meals and medication reminders.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with errands and transportation as needed.
• Follow the client’s care plan and communicate changes to family.

Visiting Angels is looking for caring and dependable caregivers in Philadelphia, especially those who live near Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Emergency Department. We’re looking for people who genuinely care about others and want to do work that feels meaningful at the end of the day.

What You’ll Do

• Spend time with clients and provide companionship
• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Assist with walking, transfers, and everyday activities
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry
• Assist with errands and transportation when needed
• Follow the client’s care plan
• Keep the office or family informed about changes in the client’s needs
• Most importantly, help clients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of professional caregiving experience
