Job summary

Avanti Destinations in Portland, OR seeks an Air Ticketing Specialist to perform daily air related processes using Amadeus GDS, manage tickets, schedule changes, refunds and exchanges.

This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Director of Air Contracts/Air Ticketing and offers comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental coverage and paid time off. Salary ranges from $20.00 to $27.00 hourly DOE.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening and written.
• 3 years’ experience working on a GDS air system would be preferred
• Strong problem solving and negotiation abilities
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of a GDS system – able to transfer to Amadeus
• Understand airline contracts and booking rules on airline airfares
• Working schedule changes within the rules of the different airlines
• Works with the reservation department regarding air booking questions or issues
• Responds to Customer Service regarding past air questions and issues
• Maintains and projects the Company's professional reputation.
