Required Skills & Abilities:
- At least two (2) years of hotel culinary or restaurant line cook experience required
- Flexible to work weekends and holidays
- Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours
- Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current Food Handler Certification required
Job Description:
- Prepare food according to recipe and ensure portion, quality, and presentation standards are consistently met
- Date all food containers, consistently use FIFO method, make sure all perishables are properly stored, and note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
- Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation for line setup
- Consistently practice sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination, maintain cleanliness and sanitization of work station and kitchen equipment
