Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a supervisor to lead a team of technicians producing additively manufactured hardware for spaceflight programs in Washington. You will oversee training, safety, and process adherence while maintaining quality and throughput in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, on-the-job training, and 5S, with relocation assistance available and a shift pattern Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1am.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (2 yr) in a relevant technical discipline with 2 years’ minimum hands-on manufacturing experience; or 4 years’ minimum relevant experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in additive manufacturing or 4+ years in related aerospace role.
• Demonstrated world-class quality mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to earn trust and foster an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel, including training, mentoring, coaching, and monitoring performance indicators.
• Improve safety and address safety concerns as they arise.
• Support recruiting and onboarding of new team members.
• Lead daily stand-ups reviewing safety, quality, productivity and trends.
• Lead 5S activities and maintain process documentation.
• Operate, maintain, and improve additive manufacturing machines for quality and throughput.
• Manage loading/unloading of materials and consumables.
• Ensure defect-free products and traceability through documentation.
