Job summary

Hotel Bennett in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a friendly, attentive server to deliver outstanding hospitality in our full‑service restaurant. You will take orders, upsell menu items and wine, maintain clean stations, and work closely with culinary and service teammates to ensure smooth, gracious service.

Applicants need a minimum of 6 months’ experience as a server, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain ServSafe Alcohol certification and an SC ABL Server License within 30 days

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a server in a full-service establishment.
• Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Food safety certification preferred.
• Complete the South Carolina ServSafe Alcohol Online Course & Exam within 30 days of hire.
• Possess a valid SC ABL Server License within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for and serve food and beverages.
• Ensure stations and tables are set up and clean.
• Know the menu and wine list to advise guests.
• Follow POS procedures and cash handling policies.
• Work with culinary staff and teammates for smooth service.
• Attend pre-shift and team meetings and communicate guest needs.
• Perform opening, closing and daily duties per standards.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in all areas.
