Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist host/hostess in seating.
• Present menu, answer questions, and suggest items and wines.
• Memorize menu selections and daily specials; know ingredients.
• Use proper etiquette and seating procedures; ladies first.
• Write or memorize orders and relay to kitchen using POS.
• Observe guests to fulfill requests and determine when to clear tables.
• Total bill and process payment or send to cashier.
• Ladle soup, portion desserts, brew coffee; keep counters clean.
• Notify a manager of guest complaints; maintain service areas.
