Job summary

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa in Portland, ME is seeking a Part-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering meals in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.

Morning shift 6:30 AM–2:00 PM with flexibility to occasional PM or banquet shifts. We value friendly, professional team players who can lift up to 25 pounds and complete opening/closing side duties.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• TIPS certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Restock service items throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet.
• Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalated to management when needed.
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures.
• Assist with training new team members as needed.
