Job summary

MBK Senior Living in Kentucky seeks a Server to provide high-quality dining service, ensuring resident preferences are respected and customer service remains exceptional. You will maintain dining areas, seat residents, and serve meals with professionalism and courtesy.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, ability to obtain required clearances and Food Handler Certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older or have a proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills as required by the position (tracking meals/residents, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Must be able to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar/heating cart, trays, etc.).
• Must possess the ability to always deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public.
• Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Uphold a high standard of table etiquette by serving from the left, clearing dishes between courses, and resetting tables for subsequent service to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting with their meal and menu selections, and attending to their dining needs, as necessary or requested.
• Review and adhere to residents’ dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences as outlined by the Supervisor and in their care plan.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary dining area and fully comply with all food safety handling and service protocols.
• Assist in breaking down deliveries, putting away stock, washing dishes, as needed to support overall kitchen and dining services.
• Cooperate and assist with other kitchen and dining services to ensure residents have a positive dining experience.
