Primary Responsibilities

1. Serve tables by retrieving and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner as determined by management.
2. Gain comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage preparation, menu, and pricing.
3. Use a computer to input orders and generate checks.
4. Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
5. Process various payment types, including cash and credit cards, following proper procedures.
6. Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant and kitchen, including side-work.
7. Clear, clean, and prepare tables.
8. Check guest identification to ensure legal age for alcohol consumption and politely refuse service to underage guests.
9. Observe guest behavior when serving alcohol, monitor the number of drinks served, and follow procedures if a guest appears impaired, including suggesting transportation options.
10. Escalate guest service issues to management if unable to resolve.
11. Ensure guest satisfaction during meals.
12. Report to work in a neat, clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
14. The pay rate for servers is $10.00 to $10.50 per hour plus tips.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. Server experience is preferred but not required.
3. Experience in hospitality is preferred.
4. Basic math skills and cash-handling experience are required.
5. Applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card is necessary.
6. Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility.
