This individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while upholding the luxury service standards that define the Hotel ZaZa brand.Position OverviewThe AM Server is responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service during evening dining operations. This position ensures guests receive attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service throughout their dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and efficiency.The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and engage guests in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.Provide exceptional table service in accordance with Hotel ZaZa and Food & Beverage service standards.Present menus, explain specials, answer guest questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.Accurately take guest orders and enter them into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond proactively to guest needs.Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, wine selections, cocktails, and promotional offerings.Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service.Set, clear, and reset tables in accordance with established standards.Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, patios, and related areas.Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.Assist with banquet, private dining, VIP events, and special functions as needed.Maintain inventory of service supplies and communicate replenishment needs to management.Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.Attend departmental meetings and required training sessions.Comply with all company policies, brand standards, and safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsPassion for delivering exceptional guest service.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Professional appearance and demeanor.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Ability to remain calm and professional during high-volume service periods.Must be able to handle confidential guest information appropriately.Preferred QualificationsPrevious server experience in a restaurant, hotel, resort, or upscale dining environment.Luxury hotel or fine dining experience preferred.Knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft cocktails.Experience using POS systems.Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification, or the ability to obtain required certifications.Bilingual communication skills are a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.Ability to bend, stoop, reach, carry, and lift items regularly.Ability to lift and carry trays, food, beverages, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to work in a fast-paced dining environment.Manual dexterity required to operate POS equipment and safely handle food and beverage service items.Work EnvironmentRestaurant, lounge, patio, banquet, and hotel food service outlets.Frequent interaction with guests, vendors, and team members.Fast-paced hospitality environment with varying levels of activity.Evening shifts required, including weekends, holidays, and special events.Professional appearance and grooming standards consistent with Hotel ZaZa luxury service expectations.Compensation and BenefitsHotel ZaZa offers a competitive compensation package, which may include hourly wages, gratuities where applicable, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, retirement savings plans, employee assistance programs, and hotel discounts, subject to eligibility requirements and company policies.Why Join Us?At Hotel ZaZa, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer careers that inspire.
