Job summary

Sundance Resort seeks an AM Public Areas Attendant to maintain public spaces in a clean and orderly condition. You will assist the housekeeping department and handle duties such as entry-area upkeep, floor care, window washing, and trash removal.

The role requires 2-way radio use, reliability, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Benefits and potential for seasonality exist; full-time year-round positions may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of carpet shampoo and window washing a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.
• Valid U.S. drivers' license in good standing.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
• Exposure to fumes, outdoor conditions, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resort premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Check in/out keys and radios from safety office.
• Check in/out Sundance vehicle for daily duties.
• Scrubs, waxes, vacuums floors and cleans carpets.
• Washes baseboards, windowsills, doors and woodwork.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash.
• Uphold sustainability practices and minimize waste.
• Maintain public areas bathrooms and stock supplies.
• Keep housekeeping closets stocked.
• Clean meeting/conference rooms daily.
• Maintain living room and dining areas.
• Sanitize wellness areas and restrooms.
• Maintain motorcycle cleanliness.
• Review events daily to set cleaning priorities.
• Inspect for broken or faulty equipment and report.
• Communicate with supervisors via radio.
• Follow Sundance housekeeping protocols.
• Turn in lost and found items.
• Report suspicious activities.
• Demonstrate cleanliness standards and receptive to feedback.
• Share Sundance environmental commitment when appropriate.

Job Title: AM PUBLIC AREAS ATTENDANT

Department: Housekeeping

Rate of Pay: From $18.00/Hour

Shift: Variable Shifts Monday – Sunday

FTYR Benefited Positions – 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (5 day work week)

PT Year Round or FT/PT Seasonal, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (2- 4 shifts/week)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

SUMMARY

Creates a sense of arrival in all public spaces. Maintains Sundance Resort public areas premises in a clean and orderly manner according to Sundance standards. Assist housekeeping department as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains resort premises in clean and orderly manner according to standards.
• Responsible for checking in and out keys and radios from the safety office.
• Check in and out Sundance vehicle to carry out daily duties ensuring cleanliness and follows Sundance safety vehicle guidelines.
• Scrubs, waxes, and vacuums floors; shake out rugs and spot clean carpets.
• Washes baseboards, windowsills, door, panels, and woodwork.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area.
• Uphold sustainability practices, including mindful water and energy use, recycling, and minimizing waste.
• Responsible for upkeep of public areas bathrooms through replenishing toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, etc., and daily cleaning of toilets, urinals, walls, sinks, counters, and floors in all public Inn restrooms.
• Keeps housekeeping closets clean and always stocked.
• Responsible for removing all trash from the public areas closets at the end of each shift.
• Maintains all meeting/conference room spaces through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting daily.
• Maintains the living room space and guest dining areas by clearing trash and/or dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily.
• Maintaining health and wellness center, locker room, changing areas, staging areas, and boot room by sanitizing equipment, restocking towels and water, clearing trash, sweeping, vacuuming and dusting daily.
• Maintain motorcycle cleanliness by disinfecting and inspecting for damage daily.
• Reviews Daily Events Report each morning to establish priorities for cleaning meeting space prior to event.
• Inspect areas and report anything broken, damaged, or faulty equipment to supervisor and/or maintenance.
• Keep radio on to effectively communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Follows Sundance Housekeeping protocols for cleanliness and safety.
• Immediately turn in all lost and found items to supervisor.
• Report any suspicious activities to Safety and supervisor or front desk.
• Demonstrates strong attention to cleanliness standards and responds positively to feedback for continuous improvement.
• Shares the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.

QUALIFICATIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
