Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Support Specialist for the Additive Manufacturing team. You will ensure smooth handoffs between shifts, maintain production velocity, and provide hands-on inspection and material handling support in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role involves coordinating with multiple work centers, moving hardware as needed, and upholding safety and 5S standards. Shift is B-Shift, Mon-Thu 2:30 PM–1:00 AM; you must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in inventory control, material handling, or production support.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and contribute to production velocity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is staged and available for A-shift technicians and machinists by prioritizing parts to the correct centers.
• Coordinate with other centers to maintain continuous processing of high-priority hardware through the night.
• Move hardware between work centers to support production velocity when needed.
• Provide hands-on inspection support using borescopes, profilometers, and precision tools.
• Support multiple work centers to maintain production flow and meet deadlines.
• Monitor job flow and partner with Production Control to ensure on-schedule completion.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists) safely.
• Identify, report, and help resolve manufacturing delays and their sources.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following 5S
