Job summary

Hank's Seafood Charleston is seeking an AM Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Charleston, SC. This role supports the chef by preparing sauces, sides, and ingredients, ensuring consistency and quality for every dish served in our renowned seafood restaurant.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of professional cooking experience, familiarity with commercial equipment, and strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of related professional cooking experience.
• Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment.
• Culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with front and back of house.
• Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures.

Preparation is the foundation of cooking, and a Prep Cook lays the groundwork for all of the beautiful dishes created in the kitchen. Making everything from sauces to sides, this individual is efficient but does not cut corners, knowing that a consistent product is essential to the integrity and flavor of the final product. This person enjoys being a vital part of a team dynamic and is adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.
