Job summary

The Eliza Jane Hotel in New Orleans, LA is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to lay the groundwork for the kitchen’s success. You’ll prepare a variety of ingredients and sauces, ensuring consistency and alignment with the team’s high standards.

As part of Makeready’s culinary team, you’ll work closely with the chef and front-of-house staff in a fast-paced environment, following recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a culture of quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of related professional cooking experience.
• Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment.
• Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures.
• Culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred.
• Great communication skills with both front and back of the house.
• Handle a fast-paced cooking environment with ease.
