Job summary

The Bird Streets Club, operated by The h.wood Group in Los Angeles, seeks a Porter to help maintain cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will show a guest-first attitude, a strong service commitment, and clear communication.

Open availability for weekends and nights is preferred. duties include receiving deliveries, organizing storage, supporting inventory, restocking equipment, and assisting the venue team as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be available on weekends and nights.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to stand during an entire shift (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work in hot/cold, and/or wet areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area in the restaurant.
• Receive, unpack, and store all restaurant deliveries.
• Support inventory management by organizing the food storage accurately.
• Restock all kitchen and restaurant equipment in venue.
• Assist the venue team as needed.
• Other maintenance tasks as assigned.

ROLE SUMMARY:

A porter plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and restaurant. The ideal candidate possesses a guest first attitude, strong commitment to service, and excellent communication skills. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented and encourages a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area in the restaurant
• Receive, unpack, and store all restaurant deliveries
• Support inventory management by organizing the food storage accurately
• Restock all kitchen and restaurant equipment in venue
• Assist the venue team as needed
• Other maintenance tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18+ years of age
• Must be available at weekends and nights
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs
• Must be able to work in hot/cold, and/or wet areas
