Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Park City is seeking friendly Restaurant Host/Hostesses to welcome dining guests, answer phones, take reservations, and guide guests to seating while maintaining a warm first impression.

You will suggest menu recommendations, assist with special requests, and collaborate with waitstaff to ensure guest satisfaction. This role requires a polished appearance, strong communication, and availability to work varied shifts.

• Refined verbal communication skills both on the phone and in person
• Knowledge of computers and reservations systems.
• Flexible schedule to include mornings, afternoons, evenings, both weekend day and holidays as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours
• Must have current Alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency. Food service and/or other certification as required

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 436 luxury accommodations including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Restaurant Host/Hostesses are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for dining guests both on the phone and in person. These individuals have the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interactions that include taking down reservations, providing table accommodations and offering menu recommendations. They may also be the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction.
