Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum one year food service or related work.
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, not to exceed estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate per SOP, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup.
• Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to storage areas, covering/ dating perishables.
• Assist in planning to correct food cost problems; control waste and usage per SOP.
