Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Box Elder is seeking an entry-level to experienced cook for day shifts in Box Elder, SD. You will stock and set up kitchen stations, prepare and plate dishes, and work with servers to ensure timely, accurate orders.

The role requires 2+ years’ cooking experience, ability to read recipes, and strong food safety knowledge. ServeSafe certification is preferred. Benefits include health plans and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years' experience as a cook in a restaurant setting.
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• ServeSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance.
• Working with servers to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and utensils and storing equipment after shifts.
• Ensuring kitchen operations and hygiene meet food safety standards.
