Job summary

COQODAQ in New York City is hiring front of house AM servers to deliver polished hospitality and drive memorable dining experiences. You will greet guests, take orders, ring in sales, and coordinate with the management team to ensure smooth service.

Candidates must be fluent in English, customer-focused, able to work weekends and nights, and able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certification. The NY pay range is $17 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be reachable by email and able to communicate by phone.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.
• Maintain professionalism under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and Health dept. standards.
• Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain within policy.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Certification for responsible alcohol service or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software such as POS, reservations management, inventory management, MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to execute steps of service per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide water and beverage service.
• Take, enter, and communicate orders accurately; coordinate with chefs and management.
• Use POS systems and other restaurant technology to account for all sales.
• Read reservations and BEOs to accommodate special requests and events.
• Ensure sections are clean and organized; maintain service tools and tables.
• Provide exceptional service and handle VIP needs; report issues to management.
• Train new employees and communicate notable details to management.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
