This role oversees dock operations, driver dispatch, USPS transportation activities, and terminal operations to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time mail delivery. Starting pay is $75,000 annual with free employee medical insurance, plus a $500 monthly vehicle, fuel, and phone allowance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all USPS contacted dispatches in compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations.
  • Schedule drivers in accordance with DOT hours of service.
  • Monitor all issues related to the safe & secure transport of US Mail.
  • Oversee daily transportation, routing, dispatch, and delivery operations.
  • Ensure all fleet equipment is maintained in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop terminal employees.
  • Ensure compliance with USPS, FMCSA, DOT, company, state, and federal regulations.

Houston, TX – Dock Operations Supervisor (CDL Required) Opening
Schedule: Early morning shift. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as business needs require.
Starting Pay:$75,000 Annual Salary with free employee medical insurance.

In addition to salary, employees receive a $500 monthly vehicle, fuel, and phone allowance. *

*This allowance is subject to adjustment if a company-provided phone or vehicle is added or removed.
Mail Management Services is seeking a hands-on transportation professional to oversee early morning dock operations, driver dispatch, USPS transportation activities, and terminal operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery of U.S. Mail while providing leadership to drivers and terminal staff.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage all USPS contacted dispatches in compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations
  • Schedule drivers in accordance with DOT hours of service
  • Monitor all issues related to the safe & secure transport of US Mail
  • Oversee daily transportation, routing, dispatch, and delivery operations.
  • Ensure all fleet equipment is maintained in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • train, coach, and develop terminal employees.
  • Ensure compliance with USPS, FMCSA, DOT, company, state, and federal regulations.
Successful candidates will have:
  • Minimum one (1) year of transportation, logistics, fleet, or terminal management experience.
  • Experience supervising CDL drivers preferred
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service
  • Experience with dispatch or routing software preferred
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Ability and the requisite knowledge to enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations
  • Ability to communicate, manage, administer and lead the whole staff in pursuit of all company goals including an onsite repair facility
  • Ability to set and administer the training for all drivers
  • Ability to think clearly and react properly under pressure
  • Ability to track all transport-related maintenance requirements
  • Ability to manage all aspects of safety, meeting safety goals and insuring 100% compliance including accident investigation
  • Ability to use Microsoft and other software to prepare all daily, weekly, and monthly reports and track expenditures
  • Ability to develop a strong working relationship with all employees and customer base
  • Ability to be organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate in oral and written form
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills (motivate, coach, develop employees and self)
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends and in any weather condition, willing to work 55 hours/week on average
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
  • Must meet all applicable FMCSA and company driver qualification standards.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
