Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Fort Gratiot, MI is hiring caregivers to support residents in our senior living facility. You will assist with daily living, hygiene, mobility and companionship.

Responsibilities include helping with dressing, grooming, medication administration per physician orders, charting, and coordinating with the team. We value reliability, a positive attitude, and punctuality; requires background check, HS diploma or GED, and ability to lift 50 pounds; every other weekend.

• Communicate changes in condition to supervisor and complete documentation.

• Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to: dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, etc.
• Administering medications and injections, following physicians orders and accurate charting
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Assess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkers
• Assist other team members with their duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
