Job summary

Altercare Newark North is seeking an RN or LPN Alzheimer’s Program Coordinator to lead a secure unit and oversee dementia care and programming. You will collaborate with CNAs to deliver engaging, person-centered activities and to enrich residents’ clinical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The role emphasizes designing activities, developing care plans, and conducting assessments, with a focus on high-quality geriatric care within a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with Ohio license (required).
• Experience in development and facilitation of activity programs preferred.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care or geriatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all aspects of care and programming for dementia residents.
• Design and implement creative activities for dementia residents.
• Develop care plans and perform assessments; conduct resident screenings.
• Interview families and coordinate with CNAs to enrich residents' lives.

Job Description

Altercare Newark North is seeking an RN or LPN Alzheimer’s Program Coordinator for their specialized, secure unit. Deliver programming with and through your CNAs to enrich the lives of the residents. Touch the resident's lives clinically, emotionally, and spiritually.

This key role will work collaboratively to oversee and supervise all aspects of care and programming for dementia residents.

Additional responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing creative activities for dementia residents

Job Requirements

• Education: RN or LPN with valid Ohio License
• Experience in development and facilitation of activity program preferred
• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing, long-term care or geriatric setting preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia appreciated
