Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Coordinator Alumni & Student Care Career Relations to advance career readiness by coordinating alumni-driven engagement initiatives that expand mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities.

It also supports key experiential learning and access programs, including the Career Closet and Suit Up initiative, as well as the Job Location & Development program that connects students to part-time employment experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education.
• Experience in higher education, career services, alumni or employer relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Alumni Networking & Engagement: coordinates alumni events and mentoring opportunities with campus partners.
• Employer Engagement & Outreach: manages Handshake activity, outreach, and campus recruiting connections.
• Career Closet & Suit Up: runs operations, donations, promotions, and access to professional attire.
• Part-Time Employment & Recruiting: promotes part-time roles and supports employer outreach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
