Job summary

Conservatory Lab Charter School in Dorchester, MA is hiring a full-time Alumni Coordinator to manage alumni relations for ~400 former students and coordinate engagement activities. The role includes storytelling, data management, event support, and collaboration with Foundation and School staff to boost donor and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Strong written, research, and verbal communications skills.
• Familiarity with social media and website maintenance.
• Knowledge of social justice, music and the arts, and K-12 education.
• Familiarity with Dorchester and surrounding communities of Boston.
• Ability to create or repurpose video content for social media and other outlets.
• Experience with local media, including writing press releases.
• Experience in graphic design for printing materials and branded merchandise.
• Willingness to network with government and corporate officials.
• High energy, positive, can-do attitude, flexibility and teamwork.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and expectations.
• Experience with donor databases and online giving platforms.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data on alumni; maintain a roughly 400-student database.
• Build an Alumni Association and a culture of belonging among alumni.
• Document alumni stories for social media, blogs, and the website.
• Support school staff with recruitment events and family communications.
• Coordinate with Family Action Network and external donors for events.
• Identify resources, scholarships, and additional lessons alumni desire.
