Job summary

Adams State University seeks a Program Manager of Alumni Relations to support the Director in implementing programs that engage alumni, current students, staff, and community members. The role emphasizes coordination of events, communications, and volunteer groups to foster a culture of involvement.

You will plan and execute the annual alumni calendar, manage Raisers Edge data, supervise student workers, and align activities with the university's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 4-6 years relevant experience in alumni relations, event planning, or fundraising.
• Proven experience in planning, managing, and executing events and engagement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of all alumni events and programs (homecoming, retiree events, reunions, donor and student recognition).
• Research venues, determine menus, schedule rooms, arrange catering, decorations, door prizes, and related paperwork.
• Arrange travel for department personnel and manage RSVP lists, information sheets, and name tags.
• Manage Raiser's Edge data, track attendance, collect class notes, and take event photos.
• Oversee the Mascot Program and supervise student volunteers and work-study staff.
• Develop and distribute event communications via mail, email, and social channels; manage bulk mail projects.
• Support database maintenance, volunteer training, and procurement processes.
