Job summary

University of Missouri–St. Louis is seeking an Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement to lead programs and communications that deepen alumni involvement.

Reporting to the Director, Alumni Engagement, you will coordinate with campus partners and volunteers to implement strategies aligned with the university's goals. Key responsibilities include developing engagement plans, managing events and volunteer programs, budgeting, reporting in CRM, and representing the Office at leadership meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience.
• Strong organizational, project management and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High level of initiative, ability to work independently, attention to detail, good time-management skills and ability to work within deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive and private data.
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team and university setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategically aligned alumni engagement plans utilizing data analysis and priority resources.
• Collaborate with Advancement colleagues, faculty, and staff to develop and maintain alumni engagement and affinity programs.
• Identify alumni to participate in programs and coordinate follow-up.
• Refer alumni to giving programs and may solicit alumni directly.
• Source and apply best practices to achieve goals.
• Plan events and activities that connect alumni to the University and to each other.
• Lead Alumni Volunteer programming and recruit alumni.
• Manage budget for events and programs and process invoices.
• Lead assigned Alumni Association committees with agendas and meeting minutes.
• Participate in leadership meetings and Board meetings.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external groups.
