Job summary

University of Michigan in Ann Arbor seeks an Alumni Relations Officer Assoc to develop, plan, and implement strategies engaging the Division of Computer Science & Engineering alumni. You will lead events, mentorship, and lifelong learning initiatives while coordinating with the Alumni Association and external partners.

The role requires 1–3 years in alumni relations, strong writing, and experience with social media and CRM systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required; related fields preferred.
  • 1–3 years of alumni relations or related experience.
  • Experience supporting advisory boards or similar leadership committees.
  • 1–3 years in a higher education setting.
  • Strong writing and communication skills for newsletters, web copy, and board meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement a portfolio of alumni engagement programs and events.
  • Engage with alumni and student community via social media, website, and other channels; advertise and maintain events.
  • Develop programming for events and volunteer opportunities.
  • Coordinate nominations and selections for alumni awards.
  • Collaborate with College communications/marketing teams to share news and opportunities.
  • Track engagement metrics (attendance, participation, ROI) and report to leadership.
