Job summary

McDonogh School, Incorporated in Owings Mills, MD seeks a Director of Alumni Engagement to provide visionary leadership for the Alumni Engagement program and to recruit alumni for professional expertise and volunteer service. The role partners with colleagues to create pathways for alumni participation in school life and to cultivate alumni giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in alumni relations, development, nonprofit management, client service or related field.
• Experience with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
• Must have strong computer and analytical skills; proficient with MS Office and Google suites.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement programs to engage alumni in the life of the school.
• Develop a strategic plan for alumni engagement and measure program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Philanthropy Team to cultivate and solicit gifts.
• Plan and oversee alumni events and manage an event calendar and budgets.
• Travel nationally and regionally to cultivate alumni and coordinate regional events.
• Oversee alumni communications, Class Notes, publications, and web/social content.
