Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Digital Strategist to manage communications across social channels and email programs for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations. You will help plan campaigns, publish content, and collaborate with campus partners to advance engagement and fundraising goals.

This permanent role focuses on growing alumni engagement through digital channels, newsletters, and web content, while coordinating with the DARCOMM team and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or related field; higher education/non-profit environment is a bonus.
• Experience developing a marketing or communications plan.
• Experience with email marketing.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
• Experience with social platforms and content management systems (WordPress).
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social media campaigns with the DARCOMM team to build integrated efforts.
• Maintain and publish content across UGA Alumni social channels.
• Plan and schedule posts across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn.
• Develop newsletters, solicitations, and email content for DAR units.
• Use data to drive content strategy and improve engagement.
• Collaborate with campus marketers to follow best practices.
• Assist in email marketing campaigns and Salesforce Marketing Cloud tasks.
• Produce blog posts, videos, and other content to support strategy.
