Job summary

Virginia Tech seeks a Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE). The role will lead alumni engagement and stewardship, guiding programs and events, and coordinating with CALS and VCE leadership to advance institutional goals.

The position directs a team of engagement professionals, supports volunteer boards, and requires travel and evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in alumni and constituent relations.
Experience in volunteer management, board management, event planning, fundraising, donor stewardship.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel.
Strong group presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee alumni and constituent engagement programs and events for CALS and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE).
Provide leadership to advancement engagement and stewardship activities and pursue institutional goals.
Lead a team of engagement professionals including two program managers and an advancement intern.
Collaborate with CALS Advancement leadership on volunteer and donor stewardship.
