Job summary

General ThermoDynamics, an API Heat Transfer Company, is seeking Aluminum MIG & TIG Welders for 1st and 2nd shifts at our Iron Ridge, Wisconsin facility.

You will weld aluminum components for heat exchangers, read blueprints, set up parts, inspect welds, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of aluminum MIG and/or TIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience welding thin-gauge aluminum materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, welding specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Fit, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding.
• Inspect welds for quality and specifications.
• Grind, finish, and rework as required.
• Use measuring devices to verify dimensions.
• Identify and report quality concerns and safety hazards.
• Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and production team members to meet production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
