Job description

Job Overview
  • Operator will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce a quality product. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, electric welders, coil feeders, jib cranes, welding fixtures, and other departmental equipment.
  • Set-up, operate, program, and troubleshoot (material handling, drilling, welding) of equipment in the welding process to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, hand-held grinders, and other departmental equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for welding steel and aluminum components to assemble structural forms.
A Day In The Life
  • Knowledge and technique of MIG welding.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to move, twist, bend, and crouch regularly during work.
  • Dependability and good attendance record.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld assemblies according to engineering standards.
  • Experience with handheld plasma cutters is a plus.
  • Perform various duties such as operating welding equipment, using hand tools, and handling materials, following safety precautions and supervisor instructions.
What Will Help You Thrive in This Role
  • Layout, align, fit, and weld fabricated steel and aluminum components.
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail regarding alignment, dimensions, and inspection.
  • Perform work involving close tolerances, making adjustments as needed.
  • Perform other departmental duties as required, following safety and process procedures.
  • Work safely utilizing all personal protective equipment.
