Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a skilled welding operator to join our manufacturing team in Kentucky. You will set up and run robotic welding systems, read drawings, perform quality checks, and ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires AWS-certified welder qualifications or equivalent, ability to program and adjust machines, and strong teamwork. We offer a safety-focused, growth-oriented environment at Hubbell.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work as a team.
  • Highly motivated and willing to solve problems.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
  • Must be able to navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
  • Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, gauges and other measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust machines and equipment to produce an acceptable quality product.
  • Operate, program, and troubleshoot robot welding systems in the welding process.
  • Operate more than one type of machine.
  • Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks per QA or supervisor.
  • Visually inspect product, record production, report scrap, and perform rework as assigned.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure the process is efficient and welding meets company standards.
  • Manually repair or hand weld some products below standard due to tolerance variables.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Work as a team.

  • Will berequiredto set-up,operate, program, and trouble shootRobot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) ofother robotics pieces of equipmentin the welding process to achieve acceptable levels in productivity, and quality.
  • Will berequiredtooperatemore than one type of machine.
  • Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance or his/her supervisor.
  • Operator will continually visually inspect product, record production asrequired, report/record scrap, and other various duties or rework as assigned.
  • Operatorwillbe requiredto make routine equipment adjustments toensurethe processis always efficient and welding to company standards.
  • Will berequiredto manuallyrepair,or hand weld some products that are below standard,due totolerance variables during theRoboticoperations.
  • Must keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Mustbe able to work as a team.
  • Must be qualified and successfully hold a Certified Welder's job or its equivalent, either in position or be certified by a technical institute.
  • Operatorwillberequiredto pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, and other measuring devices.
  • Will berequiredto perform SPC procedures and tests, then interpret findingsin order tomakeappropriate changesin the process.
  • Must be able to navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
