Hubbell Incorporated in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Welding Operator to set up, operate and troubleshoot welding equipment, ensuring quality parts and timely delivery. The role supports steel assembly and CNC operations as needed.

You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, maintain equipment, and mentor junior welders. A high school diploma or GED and weld experience are required; safety gear knowledge and strong problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have one (1) year experience in welding or minimum of six (6) months as a Welding C.
  • General knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • General understanding of basic welding operations
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of proper use of safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, and work boots where necessary.

  • Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment and fixtures.
  • Request needed supplies for welding department.
  • Comply with and support all aspects of the company’s quality management program.
  • Instruct lesser skilled employees in the welding area.

Job Overview

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and provided to the customer in a timely manner. In addition to primary welding functions assistance on steel assembly and CNC Operations is a plus.

A Day In The Life
