Job summary

VELUX in Greenwood, SC seeks a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform TIG welding on aluminum parts, set up and troubleshoot welding equipment, and follow daily production plans to meet quality standards.

Applicants should have welding experience or certification and be able to work overtime/weekends as needed. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working in hot conditions; first shift is 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Welding experience and/or certification required or preferred.
• Ability to read and follow production plans and drawings.
• Understanding of metric and standard measurement systems.
• 3–5 years in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs set-up and troubleshoots welding machine.
• Tig welds aluminum component parts.
• Reads and follows a daily production plan.
• Performs other duties such as product assembly and inventory.
• Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met.
