VELUX Group is hiring an on-site Welder in Greenwood, Indiana. The role focuses on welding aluminum components for skylight parts, following a daily production plan and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, ability to read measurements, and can operate under 5S practices. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Welding experience required; certification preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read measurements in metric and standard.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work in hot conditions.
• Knowledge of 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot welding machines.
• TIG weld aluminum component parts.
• Read and follow daily production plan.
• Assist with product assembly and inventory as needed.
• Ensure production, quality and safety standards are met.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other assignments as directed by supervision.
