  • Conduct in-process checks and report defects to Front-Line Leader.
  • Complete 5S assignments and adhere to safety rules.

Weld parts to print, taking care to clean the welding equipment and getting parts done timely.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role
  • Maintaining High Quality and Efficiency (90% of the job)
  • Perform MIG/TIG welds spatter free in a functional manner according to the company’s quality specifications
  • Ensure items are moving according to schedule by using Shop Floor Mobile
  • Uphold RC Industries quality model by conducting all in-process checks as well as report any defects to your Front-Line Leader
  • Ensure 5s assignments are complete
  • Timely labor reporting for jobs completed in Shop Floor Mobile
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and abide by safety rules at all times
Mentoring & Training (5% of the job)
  • Use strengths and skills to mentor and train others in meeting and exceeding delivery dates and customer expectations
  • Supports leaders and other team areas as needed to meet overall team goals
  • Participate in incident investigations as needed
Other Areas of Responsibility (5% of the job)
  • Attend safety meetings as needed
  • Follow RCII’s policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Participate in lean manufacturing activities

Equipment Used:

This role routinely uses weld equipment and other tools throughout the day.

Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:
  • Ability to stand or walk on concrete surfaces seven plus hours per day
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate weld equipment and other tools in a safe way for seven plus hours per day
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds independently to move product on a regular basis
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull and lift over 75 pounds as part of a team lift or using a lifting device
  • Ability to review procedures, do basic math and measurement computations as well as visually compare product to quality specifications
Environmental Conditions & Travel:

The employee is primarily exposed to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting manufacturing departments. The manufacturing warehouse has heat however, temperature fluctuates throughout the day. Various machinery, equipment and forklifts are used in the manufacturing areas. Employees should use extreme caution, follow all safety procedures, and wear all required PPE to ensure safety for themselves and others

  • Basic math and counting skills (skills assessment)
  • Use of measuring tools such as tape measure and calipers.
  • Able to read, understand and follow work instructions
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Able to work using small hand tools at a good speed
  • Able to be flexible and move from job to job as priorities change
  • Ability to use over head cranes and lifting devices
