Job summary

ConMet Plastics is hiring for a Die Casting Operator in Clackamas, OR. You will set up high‑pressure aluminum die casting cells, position dies with a crane, and ensure cooling and lubrication are properly controlled to meet automotive specifications.

You’ll work steady weekday night shifts with premium pay, starting at $24.04/hour for 90 days and stepping to $24.61/hour after the ramp‑up. The role emphasizes safety, process control, and consistent quality throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• CNC job setup and changeover experience.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Ability to monitor and adjust process parameters for consistent quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and position die sections using a crane; bolt and secure them.
• Connect cooling water and preheat die sections as required.
• Regulate water flow, machine speed, and lubricant for optimal part geometry and temperature.
• Monitor, measure, and adjust process parameters to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Perform safety inspections and identify hazards before cycling the machine.
