Job summary

Pennex is hiring an Aluminum Extrusion Production Associate on our Leetonia, OH production floor. You will learn on the job and play a hands-on role in shaping aluminum products for automotive, construction, and consumer goods.

Expect rotating 12-hour shifts, with good pay and options for advancement to roles such as machine operator, team lead, or maintenance technician. A high school diploma and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
• Comfort reading instructions or basic drawings and using measuring tools; press or extrusion experience is helpful but not required.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and positive, respectful teamwork.
• Ability to follow directions and safety rules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on increasing responsibility.
• Basic written and verbal communication; able to multitask with attention to detail.

• Support aluminum extrusion press operations and related equipment to meet daily production targets.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components with care.
• Check quality by inspecting parts and using measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Package finished aluminum profiles for shipment.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to keep production moving.
• Pitch in on additional tasks as needed.

Step into a hands‑on role where you help shape aluminum that powers automotive, construction, transportation, and consumer products. As an Aluminum Extrusion Production Associate at Pennex, you’ll learn on the job (no prior extrusion experience required) and be part of a close-knit manufacturing team committed to safety, quality, and growth.

What a day looks like

• Gear up, follow established safety procedures, and keep your area organized and clean.
• Support aluminum extrusion press operations and related equipment to meet daily production targets.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components with care.
• Check quality by inspecting parts and using measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Package finished aluminum profiles for shipment.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to keep production moving.
• Pitch in on additional tasks as needed.

Schedule & Pay

• Shifts: 6:00am-6:00pm or 6:00pm-6:00am on rotating days and weekends.
• Pay: $18.50-$20.50 per hour, based on experience.
• Shift differential: +$1.50/hour for off shifts.

Physical demands

• Regularly standing; frequent walking, reaching, and talking/hearing; occasional sitting and hand use.
• Occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
• Vision needs include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work environment

• Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes/airborne particles, and extreme heat.
• Loud noise levels.

Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The posted range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for this position across all U.S. locations. Within the range, individual pay is based on work location along with job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
