Job summary

MX Holdings' Pennex division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Leetonia, OH location. You will direct teams operating machines and manage approved capital projects with engineering design and budgeting responsibilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating major projects, supporting robot integration, PPAP, and process improvements with strong CAD/GD&T skills. A Bachelor's in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical discipline from four-year college or university.
• Five or more years of related engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Ten years of related engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of workers operating machines, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate major capital projects and fabricate equipment improvements.
• Support robotics activities, PPAP run-offs and start-up.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs with operations staff.

Overview

Consider joining the Pennex family as a Mechanical Engineer in our Leetonia, OH location.This position directs activities of workers engaged in operation of machines, tools, and equipment. The Mechanical Engineer implements approved capital projects including project engineering, design, and budgetary administration consistent with the authorized budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, plans and directs major capital projects associated with Fabrication activities.
• Coordinates, schedules and serves as liaison between production, maintenance and contract personnel for installation and start-up of fabrication equipment and / or process projects.
• Coordinates engineering activities and designs for equipment utilization and optimization.
• Assists in development of preventive maintenance programs for fabrication equipment in conjunction with operations and maintenance staff.
• Support robotic activities; implementation, programming and cell integration efforts.
  • Participate in training, run at rate confirmation and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) run off
  • Participate in the evaluation and hiring of future operators
  • Contribute in the quoting of new business that will utilize similar manufacturing methods
  • Assist with activities involving future strategy for growth of fabrication business
  • Support cell supervision, material planning and production scheduling
• Support Advanced Product Quality Planning
• Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
  • Part Control Plan
  • Pre-Launch Part Control Plan – (GP-12; Early Production Validation Plan)

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) in a mechanical discipline from four-year college or university
• Five or more years of related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ten yearsof related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
