The role demands hands-on work with 600T–1800T presses, familiarity with 6063/6061 alloys, and the ability to interpret production data to drive productivity and yield improvements. Diploma or degree in mechanical/metallurgy/production is required.

Responsibilities

• Apply extrusion process knowledge to optimize aluminium extrusion operations.
• Monitor press performance (600T–1800T) and adjust parameters to meet specs.
• Identify extrusion defects, die behavior and implement corrections.
• Interpret production data to improve productivity, quality and yield.
• Review technical drawings and process documents to ensure compliance.

Job Description

• Strong understanding of aluminium extrusion operations, including metal flow, billet heating, extrusion parameters, quenching, stretching, and aging
• Hands-on experience working with extrusion press capacities ranging from 600T to 1800T
• Hands on experience of aluminium alloys such as 6063, 6061, 6082, 6005, 6101, including their extrusion behaviour and mechanical properties
• Ability to identify and analyse extrusion defects, die behaviour, and process correction techniques
• Strong understanding of OEE, CTQ parameters, SPC, and key production system controls
• Capability to interpret production data for improving productivity, quality, and yield
• Ability to read and understand production drawings, process sheets, and standard technical documents

Qualification

• Experience: 4 to 10 Years
• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production
