Job summary

Diamondback America is seeking an Alumatower Welder to fabricate and weld Alumatowers. The role requires reading tape measures, lifting up to 50 lbs, and passing a weld test. You will perform MIG and TIG welds in multiple positions and maintain welding equipment.

Preferred candidates have MIG/TIG experience in production, familiarity with weld gauges, and forklift certification. Overtime may be required; background and drug screens apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on Alumatowers in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

JOB TITLE: Alumatower Welder

JOB SUMMARY

The Alumatower Welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of Alumatowers.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on Alumatowers in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
