Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Altitude Test Technician II to join NASA flight-system test operations. This role supports altitude chamber testing, life-support systems, and complex mechanical assemblies in a union environment.

The candidate will work with engineers and other technicians, perform safety-focused tasks, and maintain thorough test documentation. Strong adherence to procedures and ability to work at height are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience.
• Knowledge of decompression symptoms and treatments.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Experience with standard/complex mechanical equipment in test environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate altitude chamber tests and life-support systems.
• Fabricate and assemble hardware from drawings and instructions.
• Maintain data and maintenance records for equipment.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures during tests.
• Assist with test procedures and system maintenance.

Skills

Decompression symptoms knowledge

Egress methods for pressure suits

Ability to follow instructions

Air Force Class III physical
