Focus Partners Wealth is seeking an Alternatives Associate to support the Wealth Management Team. The role involves preparing and reviewing subscription documents for private equity, private real estate, and hedge funds, and ensuring AML/KYC compliance for client investments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the alternative investments or wealth management industry.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience completing or reviewing subscription documents for private equity funds, private real estate funds, and/or hedge funds.
• Familiarity with trust, estate, and legal entity structures.
• Know Your Client and Anti-Money Laundering experience (KYC/AML).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new applications.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing numerous projects and clients.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review subscription documents for alternative investments and handle follow up questions.
• Identify operational process improvements and contribute to productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Work with Wealth Management Team to satisfy AML/KYC requirements for client investments in alternatives.
• Review offering documents (PPMs) and related documents for alternatives.
• Onboard new alternative investment offerings to the firm’s platform.
• Maintain accurate client records in the CRM and execute service requests with sponsors, custodians, and clients.
• Track closing dates and deadlines for alternative investments.
• Develop robust processes and reports to inform the Wealth Management Team about pre-fund status and requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile money movement related to capital activity.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, fund managers, investors, custodians, and auditors.
• Assist with tax document distribution and audited financial statements.
• Support recurring audits, reporting, and projects as needed.
