Job summary

Coda Search is partnering with a well-established alternative asset manager to hire an Operations Associate who will support investment operations across a diversifiedportfolio of alternatives, including investor reporting, fund onboarding and ongoing operations.

The role offers exposure to private equity, private credit, hedge funds and real assets in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Ideal candidates have a strong operational background in private markets and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in middle office or investment operations.
• Experience with alternative investments (PE, private credit, hedge funds, real assets).
• Strong Excel and familiarity with accounting/portfolio systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across a diversified portfolio of alternative investments.
• Partner with transfer agents and 3rd party admins for accurate reporting and client experience.
• Coordinate onboarding of new funds, investment managers, and service providers.
• Prepare and distribute investor and portfolio reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions.
• Reconcile investment activity with fund admins, custodians, and external managers to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and automate processes.
• Support ad hoc projects related to portfolio management, reporting, and systems enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across a portfolio of alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets
• Partner closely with transfer agents and 3rd party admins to ensure accurate reporting and a seamless client experience
• Coordinate the onboarding of new funds, investment managers, and service providers
• Prepare and distribute investor and portfolio reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Monitor capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions while maintaining accurate investment records
• Reconcile investment activity and work closely with fund administrators, custodians, and external managers to resolve operational issues
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance operational control
• Support ad hoc projects related to portfolio management, reporting, and systems enhancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in middle office, investment operations, fund operations, or portfolio operations within a family office, asset manager, fund administrator, or alternative investment firm
• Experience supporting alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or real assets
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with investment accounting or portfolio management systems
